I do this so this world will know that it will not change me...
SW stated "I don't care if an invocation has been the tradition. As we all know, not all traditions should survive.... I do not intend to let this matter go. I will take additional steps to remove the specific religious references in invocations if they are not stopped. People can practice their religion in their church of choice and pray all day long in their heads..."
Then SW criticizes me and another for not responding directly to her. Like so often is the case today, SW's argument only begs for argument-- not for understanding or justice.
I choose my arguments wisely for I know not how many I have left. Some comments deserve no response because the back and forth is an inefficient expenditure of taxpayers' money. Instead, most discourse should be had with a deliberative body. Unfortunately, some taxpayers too well enjoy the public discourse/arguing without knowing all of the facts, and many taxpayers do not know how to gain consensus among a deliberative body or allow the wheels of justice to come to fruition.
